Fresh And Healthy Honey Glazed Carrots On A Plate With Tym
Ingredients
2 pound baby carrots
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 clove garlic , minced
1 teaspoon thyme
1/2 teaspoon cayenne
1/2 cup fresh orange juice
How To Make :
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil, then add carrots and let it cook for about 4 -5 minutes. They should still have some crunch to it.
- Remove and add in cold iced water to stop the cooking. Drain and set aside. This step might be done in advance and refrigerated to save time. Reserve.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add butter, honey, lemon juice, garlic, thyme, cayenne and about 1/2 cup of orange juice ,swirling occasionally.
- When most of the liquid has reduced, throw in the carrots and stir until every inch is coated. Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes or more Remove and serve warm.
